Our clergy and vestry are dedicated to guiding our church community with faith, wisdom, and service. The clergy provide spiritual leadership, worship and pastoral care while the vestry oversees the church’s mission, stewareship and growth

The Rev. Paul Hamilton

Fr. Hamilton has been an Episcopal Priest for over 50 years. He has serverd for five decates in parishes in New York City, Central Florida and upstate New York. One year ago he was appointed by the Bishop of Albany, The Rt Rev. Jeremiah Williamson, to be the Priest in Charge at St. James Church in Oneonta.

He is an educator and has been a University faculty member in Florida and New York City. Presently he is a member of the Psychology Department at the State University of New York in Oneonta.

He is credentialed as a Psychotherapist and a Counselor for Drugs and Alcohol. He maintains a thriving, local private practice. His training was at the Psychiatric Institute founded by Sigmund Freud’s last patient.

Under his wise leadership and energy, St. James Chursh is experiencing a season of exciting new life and witness.
